SmartBook

The Smartbook tool integrated within Connect maximises learning by helping students study more efficiently, highlighting the most important points in the chapter, asking verification questions and indicating additional resources.
More personalised - SmartBook constantly adapts to students' needs, creating a personalised learning experience.
More productive - SmartBook creates an extremely productive learning experience, focusing students' attention on the concepts they need to learn.
More prepared - SmartBook helps students prepare for lessons, allowing you to use class time more dynamically.

New immersive real-life scenarios engage students and put them in the role of everyday economists. Students practice their economic thinking and problem-solving skills as they apply course concepts and see the implications of their decisions as they go.

The tool also provides specific feedback based on student responses for support when it matters most. Each activity is designed as a 15-minute experience, unless students eagerly replay for a better outcome.

Students have access to auto-graded exercises to help them practice and perfect solving challenging questions. This proven approach deters students from cheating because each class or lab receives a slightly alternative version of the problem and the correct answer every time.

Graphs Interactive Graphs

A series of basic and complex graphing questions are available to aid students in their practice and development. These questions enable students to develop their graphical ability and calculate and plot data skills.

Each question is auto-graded, available throughout the assignable content, and accompanied by immediate feedback to help guide students through the task.

Interactive graphs help students see the relevance of the subject matter by providing visual displays of real data for students to manipulate.

All graphs are accompanied by assignable assessment questions and feedback to guide students through the experience of learning to read and interpret graphs and data.

Students are guided through the most difficult course topics with these videos in Connect. They feature a breakdown of the lecture so students can digest them easily as bitesize clips.

Data analysis questions at the end of each chapter offer students increased opportunities to apply their critical thinking skills to analyse data. Assignable through Connect, these exercises ask students to analyse data in various formats, including videos, animations and documents.
